A group show curated by Nancy Victor
We are pleased to announce that Nancy Victor has teamed up with Navig8 to curate an exhibition to celebrate print, reflecting on printmaking in its many contexts.
Printing techniques remain important processes that are constantly evolving to reflect trends within the world of Art & Design. The medium of print is utilised by artists in more varied and experimental approaches than ever before. The development of modern processes has made the production of printed materials more accessible and less challenging. Through this development of materials, machinery and products the technique has been modified yet its use requires detailed and precise skills and creativity from the artist.
Printmaking is the medium chosen when production of multiple copies is required, the unique qualities of each of the printmaking processes lends itself to this exercise, it does not mean that each piece is not considered or cannot be an original work. This exhibition explores printmaking through a variety of processes including screenprinting, digital printing, 3D printing, letterpress, photography, linocut and etching.
Exhibiting artists include: Kyle Kirkpatrick, Laura White, Anna Seabrook, Cliona O'Neill, Drew Barr, Cris Convery, LA White, Radim Malinic, Rachael Hill and Mayumi Mori.
